Initiation/Early
Communion/Reconciliation:
The
age at which children are allowed to receive Holy Communion in our
church can begin as the first act upon baptism.
-
If the parent consent lies with the “age
of reason”, or about six or seven years-of-age, the child’s
enrollment in the COGS Level II or III program (depending on their
age) will prepare them for receiving the Eucharist.
-
COGS Level II or III students will have
special preparation with a retreat for the Rite of
Reconciliation
-
The Sacrament of Confession or Rite of
Reconciliation is optional with parent support/consent.
